LORI LIGHTFOOT; Co-author

With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Lori Lightfoot is now  recognized as an international singer, entertainer, voice-over artist, vocal coach and author.  Her love for singing began at the young age of 5 when she discovered her passion for singing in church.  Her vocal education began in elementary school and continued through high school and then on to college. To date Ms. Lightfoot has won over 22 awards for her outstanding vocal achievements, and over the years she has studied with many well-known voice teachers and private vocal coaches which she attributes to a great part of her success.

Ms. Lightfoot went on to receive her formal vocal training from Florida State University’s renowned School of Music. She then went on to receive her "real world" experience and has traveled all around the world performing and fronting for several respected performance groups. Today she continues to work as a live and studio Commercial Music vocalist with an extensive repertoire of song material ranging from Classical to Jazz, Pop to R & B, Rock to Country and her favorite, Contemporary Christian music.

Given her extensive experience and vocal training Lightfoot still regards herself as a perpetual student. Lori says, "I will never tire of performing, teaching and studying the voice.  I know it is what I was born to do."  Today Lori has now traveled and performed in more than 9 countries, and she has opened for such name acts as Patti Labelle, Tony Bennett, The Band ‘Chicago’, Frankie Avalon, Bill Cosby and the Temptations ... to name a few.  She has also worked as a writer and performer for Universal Studios and Walt Disney World (in the US and Japan) and has contributed her talents for several movie soundtracks as a writer and vocalist.

As a voice-over artist, many national and international companies continue to use Lori’s voice to promote their products and services through TV and radio commercials.  With over 54 different character voices and dialects you have probably heard Ms. Lightfoot’s voice and did not even know it.  A few of the clients that have used Lori’s voice-over talents are Continental Airlines, Taco Bell, L'Oreal Make-up, Olive Garden, Marriott, Salem Cigarettes, Time Warner Cable, Dollar Rent-A-Car, Pizza Hut, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Stein Mart & Am Track.

In addition to her demanding schedule Ms. Lightfoot enjoys teaching private voice lessons (for individuals and groups), giving the popular You Can Sing with Impact!™ Vocal Workshops, and she is working hard to complete the writing of the You Can Sing with Impact! Vocal ™ Coaching Series.  Lori also manages to find the time to produce her students recording projects and singing with several well known Florida bands. 

To date Lori has achieved great success in her career and gives God all the glory for the blessing of the voice and talents He has given her. For the past 13 years Lori has enjoyed assisting vocalists all around the world to achieve their personal singing goals and she has taught at several schools in the Southeast.  Her unique approach to teaching is unique and very effective in freeing ones natural singing voice.   Ms. Lightfoot works to first understand the students personal singing goals.  She then motivates and encourages her students to develop a consistent vocal discipline.  Then using the proven IMPACT method she creates a custom “road map” of vocal instruction to help the student achieve their specific goals. YVONNE DEBANDI RABB; Co-author

As co-author of the You Can Sing with Impact!™ Vocal Coaching Daily Warm-up Workout program Yvonne Rabb recognized the special gift of music at a young age where she studied various musical instruments like the violin, french horn, piano and several others.  In high school Yvonne was afforded the opportunity to sing and study with a choral group and during that time enjoyed a plethora of singing experiences. She then went on to receive her formal training from Florida State University's renowned School of Music (where she met Ms. Lightfoot).  During college Rabb and Lightfoot enjoyed performing in several groups together and their working relationship quickly developed into a friendship.

While in college Rabb took over Ms.Lightfoot’s teaching position at Tallahassee’s Sealey Elementary School when Lightfoot decided to move on and teach private lessons full time. After graduation Rabb found her real world experience as she performed in several variety groups and traveled the South East in a rock band called August Heat as a singer.

In 1996 Yvonne relocated to Orlando and renewed friendship with Ms. Lightfoot. Soon after Rabb and Lightfoot began brainstorming on original ideas and projects (just as they did in college) and approximately one year later they finished writing the You Can Sing with Impact! ™ Vocal Coaching program. Combining their years of experience, education, research and observation together they began to create the unique 3 volume IMPACT Vocal Coaching Series. Together it was their combined vision that this original program would one day revolutionize vocal music education worldwide.

In Jan 2000 Rabb and Lightfoot attended the Winter NAMM Convention (National Association of Music Merchants) in Anaheim, California and gained the attention of many national and international publishers, distributors and retailers including Warner Brothers, Hal Leonard Publishing, Harmonic Vision Publishing, Dumont Distributors, Alfred Publishing, Mars Music,  Musicians Friend and more. In June of 2000 Rabb and Lightfoot attended the Summer NAMM Convention in Nashville, Tennessee and solidified many of these business relationships.

Soon after IMPACT was offered an exclusive publishing deal from Hal Leonard Publishing, and IMPACT was also pursued by the computer software development company, Harmonic Vision. Both companies voiced great interest in partnering with IMPACT on a future project.  Both conventions helped to launch IMPACT's reputation into full force in promoting IMPACT’s unique product, The You Can Sing with Impact! ™ Vocal Coaching program (Vol I).  It was at this time that Rabb and Lightfoot realized .... what a real IMPACT it could make with its vocal coaching series!

With the international recognition the You Can Sing with Impact! ™ product has now acclaimed it is obvious that Rabb and Lightfoot, have been a complimentary partnership.  A partnership that achieved great success in a very short amount of time.  This product is now being sold in 53 major music retail stores in the US (Mars Music – largest retail store) and has been sold to customers in over 11 different countries from its web site.
